Certifications notes:

  • LPI level 1 requires two exams: Exam 101 is on objectives 101 through 104, and exam 102 is on objectives 105 through 110.
  • The exercises were designed to run on a CentOS 7 system. If you try to run the exercises on another version of CentOS, or on another distribution altogether, things might not work exactly as described.
  • Because the exercises were written for an RPM-based distribution, there are no exercises for objective 102.4: Using Debian Package Management.
